In After Colony 195, five Gundams (read as “big-ass mecha”) piloted by five boys (read as “five hot bishounen who are often mistaken for preadolescent, flat-chested girls”) descend upon the Earth. Their mission (aside from pointing guns at aristocrats, displaying a long hair fetish, finding a knife-wielding dame, going mad with grief and consequently taking out a colony or three, or randomly yelling “Nataku” or “Onna”) is to attack/punish/squash/blow-up the Alliance as retribution for the Earth’s maltreatment of the colonies. But, as these five boys wage their own personal wars in the name of the colonies, the question of “who is the real enemy” continuously resurfaces.
